On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 4th SSMC Congress in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, taking place on October 2–3, 2026, at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche, UAE.

This congress brings together healthcare professionals with a shared commitment to advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care of people with digestive and liver diseases. Over the next two days, we have the opportunity to learn from new research, discuss challenges in clinical practice, and consider how emerging approaches can improve patient outcomes.

Our scientific program has been developed to address both established areas of practice and developments shaping the future of gastroenterology and hepatology. Through expert-led sessions, panel discussions, and abstract presentations, we hope to encourage open dialogue and the practical exchange of knowledge.

Highlighted topics include recent advances in liver disease; updates and controversies in inflammatory bowel disease, including its medical management; advances in foregut disorders; future trends in GI; pancreatobiliary disorders; and live endoscopy sessions highlighting advanced colonoscopy skills. Together, these sessions offer a broad view of the questions and innovations influencing patient care today.

We are pleased to welcome gastroenterologists, hepatologists, radiologists, pathologists, surgeons, internists, oncologists, general practitioners, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, trainees, and other allied healthcare professionals.
